No Class Friday 12/28

Due to three variables, class will have to be cancelled Friday.

Firstly, your instructor has holiday plans with the family that had to be rescheduled due to working on Christmas.

Secondly, it will be frigidly cold…after dark….which is a great recipe for frostbite, and frozen students.  Students take a remarkably long time to thaw, and most parents would prefer to have their kids defrosted for new years eve.  They don’t fit in the microwave either.

Other news:  2018 may bring us a building.  I’ll be in contact with the Parks Department regarding a potential at the start of the year.

Remember, Sunday (new year’s eve) is still canceled, but Saturday is still on!

Friday 12/22 and Saturday 12/23

It will be rainy and cold both days!   This means lots of cardio for warmth.   Parents, make sure you have a towel for your kids/car!  We will run our 1/2 mile and do lots of kicking both days.

Also, remember there is no class Sunday.

If any students won’t be attending class, please message me!  Or call/text me at 812-207-5814.

Feel free to comment on Facebook too.

On the Eves, no classes!

On Christmas Eve, and on New Years Eve, there will be no class!

Attendance is low on those days anyway.  Happy holidays!  Spend time with family and eat a lot!  That way I can torture you when we meet the following class!

No class today!

Due to a nurse graduating, there will be no class today!

Friday 12/8-Sunday 12/10

I have my phone working again, so I can more easily update the website!

First news, no class on Friday the 15th!

Second News, I’m working on a method I  which my absence will not impact class schedules.  Hopefully my two black belts can start teaching soon!

Third news.  No word on a building yet, though one original request mentioned a start time in January.  Fingers crossed!

Fourth news, it will be COLD!  Bring a coat, and maybe gloves!  That way I don’t teach a bunch of icicles.

Friday we will do our half mile run, stretches with challenges, then work on drills and techniques.  After that, we will do sparring with points.

Saturday we will revisit one-steps and you’ll learn some traditional ones.  These old drills can really fine tune your sparring.  Takedowns in Saturday!

Sunday we will learn a handful of older techniques.  The help us move our body in new and effective ways.  Sometimes learning to take advantage of your opponents’ body positioning can win a fight!  Sparring WITH take downs.  A takedown is a point!
